Bio
Maria Marshall was born in St. Petersburg, Russia. When she was nine, her family immigrated to the United States. Maria earned a BA in Fine Art from Indiana University and an MFA in Painting from Brooklyn College, where she won the Charles G. Shaw Award for Excellence in Art. While living and working in New York City, she curated several large-scale corporate exhibitions and exhibited her work in group and solo shows in New York and New Jersey. Maria also worked as a graphic designer and digital artist since 1993, participating in campaigns at major NYC advertising agencies for national and international clients. In 2001, Maria joined the faculty in the Media Arts Department at Middlesex College in Edison, NJ, where she teaches a range of fine arts and media arts classes.
